[News] Artists Part Ways With H&M

After a recent tone-deaf advertisement of a black child with a hoodie that says  “Coolest monkey in the jungle” H&M took a major hit in the PR department. The blatant racial narrative of this ad resulted in the loss of the companies biggest endorsement allies. Pop star The Weekend was the first to say he couldn’t associate with the brand and parted ways, now rapper G-Eazy is following suit. This opens the floor for discussion about if it is worth keeping an endorsement for the check at the cost of the personal brand or will the artist get more money cyclically if they take the moral high road.
