Dave East – Paranoia: A True Story

His first official release as a Def Jam artist, New York City’s newest God Son opens his project with a collab from Jeezy, followed by a collab with Nas on track 3.

Staying true to his roots, @DaveEast continues to tell the story of his rise to fame and all that it comes with, including, to no surprise: paranoia. Rapping “Paranoia gettin’ the best of me, I don’t want nobody next to me”, East opens up about the vulnerability of his new found fame, an increased attention to his surroundings, and the company he keeps. After all, there is no shortage of rappers that have been “caught slippin”.

The 9 track/4 skit project, originally slated for an August 18 release, was dropped a day early, receiving praise from fans and industry members alike. (ICYMI: Check out Tracee Ellis Ross vibin to “My Dirty Little Secret via IG).  The EP also features tracks with Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, and French Montana.
